Tom has held high-level positions during his career, including senior vice president at Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs; portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley; and legal counsel at Paine Webber. He is the author of "A Family Asset Protection Plan."

Tom formed Liberty Street as a financial firm in 1980. He later formed Liberty Street Law to serve estate planning and corporate clients.
His diverse career developed after he received a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia, a law degree from Emory University Law School and studied finance at the New York University School of Business.
